PaaS Cluster Overview

Basic Concepts

Cluster:

Cluster refers to a collection of servers and associated resources that collaborate as a unified entity. This collaboration empowers users to develop, troubleshoot, deploy, test, execute, and manage hosted applications seamlessly. Within the context of Platform as a Service (PaaS), a cluster typically encompasses Hardware Nodes along with a Cluster Orchestrator.

Cluster Orchestrator:

The Cluster Orchestrator, also known as the Infrastructure node, comprises a collection of internal elements dedicated to resource management, request processing, and facilitating the upkeep of the PaaS system.

Hardware Node:

Hardware nodes serve as the backbone of our infrastructure, constituting the physical servers that house individual virtual machines tailored to meet the requirements of users’ environments.

Environment:

An environment is like a set of separate virtual boxes, each one packed with everything needed for a specific application to run smoothly.

Node (Container):

A node or container is like a virtual machine set up within the environment and kept on specific hardware.

AccuWeb.Cloud

AccuWeb.Cloud is hosts VPS (Virtual Private Server). It allows multiple containers to run on one physical server through operating system-level virtualization.

General Cluster Overview

PaaS stands for Platform as a Service, which is like a separate group of servers and resources acting together as one system. It’s used for everything from creating and testing applications to running and managing them.

Within a PaaS Cluster, you have the Hardware Nodes where virtual isolated containers for different environments are set up, and there’s also the Cluster Orchestrator, which manages how all the internal parts work together.
