PAYG billing uses the published hourly rates for the resources you provision. Your charges reflect the selected resource configuration and the period for which those resources are provisioned.

Compare published hourly PAYG rates with monthly pricing. The better option depends on how long you expect to keep the resources provisioned and your workload requirements.
For example, running a Compute-Launch instance for a handful of hours costs far less billed hourly than a full month's fee. Running a Compute-Scale instance around the clock, every day, usually costs less on a fixed monthly plan instead.
